Original Colour
The heartwood varies from yellowish-brown to deep brown, with the distinct sapwood being a lighter shade of the heartwood colour.

Its wood structure and quality is heavily influenced by its local growth conditions. In central Europe, oak trees grow slow, relatively evenly and produce wood of uniform colour and straight grain.

This timber will weather to an attractive silver grey colour and does not require preservative pre-treatment in general applications. Takes a surface coating system well and the degree of pigmentation will strongly influence the final appearance and the amount of maintenance.
