Original Colour
The heartwood varies from yellow to a light reddish-brown, with the distinct sapwood being a lighter shade of the heartwood colour.

In Siberia, larch trees grow slow, relatively evenly and produce hard, tough wood of uniform colour and straight grain.

This timber will weather to an attractive silver grey colour and will require preservative pre-treatment. Takes a surface coating system well and the degree of pigmentation will strongly influence the final appearance and the amount of maintenance.
